We are a group of BIPOC & Queer Creatives Fostering community through action and mixed media storytelling.
We believe that it is time to take charge of the narrative. For too long, our stories have been told through a cisgender, white lens. We’re here to change that and tell our own stories.
OUR MISSION.
LIFT UP MARGINALIZED GROUPS
Produce content and create a platform that does not exist in our local mainstream media outlets to amplify voices and celebrate the existence of marginalized groups as well as the work of different organizations.
CREATE CENTRAL HUB
Position communityrootsproject.com as a central hub for our original content as well as a resource center for the community.
BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER
Host community in-person and virtual events specifically centering marginalized groups and their life experiences.
GIVE BACK
Create an e-commerce store and collaborate with artist to sell merchandise and use profits to put back into the community.
